Lazy daze

Unfortunately, I had a dentist appointment bright and early to polish my pearly whites. This left me with an entire day of moseying around, sippin' coffee, and pondering life in my U.O. readers.

This lead to a few decisions.

I cleared up my schedule this summer and decided to leave my job (due to an enormous tidal wave of bull shit) and really dedicate myself to things like thrifting and getting a grip on my sewing machine (which practically sucked my finger in this morning). I would absolutely LOVE to start a little vintage shop on Etsy to sell my spectacular finds...such as this little number I scored on Saturday in the precious little town of Pitman:

I love the light-weight cotton and quarter sleeves for a cool summer day. The colors will easily transition into the fall with some tights, cutie boots and a slouchy cardigan. I can't wait to wear it!

And so my journey into an unemployed (yet busy) summer begins!

Greetings, all!

It's a beautiful summer day in New Jersey. And rather than spend it in the sunshine I'm putting together an inspiration board for my Urban Outfitters internship application. Of course it's due this week and I've been procrastinating. But it's turning out really well and I'm pretty happy so far :] (Pictures are only a preview, I will definitely share the finished product when it's complete!)

In other news, I'm taking a day trip to NYC on Tuesday to visit the HBA Global Expo at the Javits center. It's a huge convention for members of the beauty industry to meet, collaborate and check out what's up and coming. Luckily for me I'm going with work and my job is to collect freebies all day :] Naturally, I'm siked! Pictures to come!

Hello, world!

So this is it! My very first blog post, how exciting!

Let me start by introducing myself, I'm Jenn. I'm 21, graduating from college next spring, working weekdays as a sales & marketing assistant, applying for an internship with Urban Outfitters, planning a bridal shower, and trying to make time for a social life.

What better then to add a blog on top of things? Hopefully sharing my jam-packed life will help relieve a little pressure!

I love fashion (I discovered lookbook.nu about a year ago and never looked back) and would love to share some of my own outfits with you to critique. It'll also be fun to look back on the evolution of my style through what looks to be a crazy, hectic year. In the future I hope to share the reveal of my new art studio (that my father is so graciously renovating for me in the back yard) and share some DIY projects you'll enjoy.

Tonight's ensemble was for a coffee date with a lovely boy. I absolutely love these pinstriped, high-wasted shorts from Forever 21. The brass buttons really give them a nautical feel perfect for a breezy summer night. Please excuse my messy room, better shots are to come!
